Dr. Allen L. Robinson
Dr.-Ing. Stephan Neugebauer
He completed his university studies in mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich. He was a scholarship holder of Hanns-Seidel-Foundation. After this, while being research assistant at the “Institute of Internal Combustion Engines and Vehicles”, he completed his doctorate by obtaining the title of Dr.-Ing..
Stephan Neugebauer started at BMW in the diesel engine development department in Steyr (Austria). In 1998, he returned to Munich in different functions in the development of BMW Gasoline Engines.
In 2005, he was transferred to the total vehicle development, taking over a new function as Head of the Energy Management Department and later as Head of the Thermal Management Department.
From 2012 to 2015, Stephan Neugebauer was Head of Vehicle Project, current BMW 3 series and 4 series.
Previously, he served as a vehicle/fuel systems analyst in DOE’s Argonne National Laboratory’s Center for Transportation Research between 2002 and 2007.
His major research areas include:
1) evaluation of life-cycle energy and environmental impacts of advanced vehicle technologies and alternative fuels; and
2) analysis of characteristics of vehicular emissions and development of control planning of vehicle emission pollution.
Dr. Wu is the principal investigator for developing the big-data platforms in China for green transportation and regional/urban vehicle emission control and planning. So far he has published more than 100 papers and served as the leading author for more than 10 software patents. He holds a bachelor degree and a Ph.D. degree both in environmental engineering from Tsinghua University.
