23 nm, 10 nm, 1 nm; Counting aerosol particles according to EURO 6 and beyond

Airmodus counters are useful tools for certification measurements  and  versatile  instruments for scientific and industrial research and development.

If you want to define where, when and how particles are formed the use of one CPC, or several CPCs with different cut-offs, and especially going down to nano cluster aerosol will do the trick.

 

BEYOND EURO 6

  • The number of sub 23 nm particles in vehicle emissions is often higher than > 23 nm.
  • Fuel and lubricants influence the emissions of < 10 nm particles.
  • Brakes and tires emit remarkable amounts of ultrafine particles.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS AND AIR QUALITY

The emissions of nano cluster aerosol (sub 3 nm) are so high that emission inventories are likely underestimating the impact of transportation.

 

NON-ROAD EMISSIONS

Even with the stricter requirements on fuels, ships emit remarkable amounts of ultrafine particles.
